Holy Child senior Katelyn Racanelli participated in the Nike Indoor National Track & Field Championships in Boston over the weekend of March 13-14. Racanelli, a captain for the Gryphons, was entered in three events: the 60-, 200- and 400-meter dashes. In her first event of the weekend, the 400, she broke her own school record, running 57.74 seconds to place 14th out of 56. She later competed in the 200 and 60, setting yet another school record in the latter, with a time of 8.23 seconds.
The Nike Nationals marked the final indoor competition for Racanelli, who now holds nine indoor school records: six individual and three as a relay member. She will take some well-deserved rest before returning to the track for her final tseason with the Gryphons.
