Morning Round-up: Gryphons Surging on the Court

The Holy Child girls’ basketball team is now 4-1 since a 2-5 start after defeating Greenwich Academy 47-33 on the road Monday. Shannon O’Connor scored 10 in the win, and Molly Schauber chipped in seven to go along with 12 rebounds.

At home against Hill School, the Rye Country Day girls’ hockey team dropped a 4-2 decision. Nicole Grosser made 39 saves in the net for the Wildcats, and Elizabeth Wulf recorded a goal and an assist.

Both Rye Country Day’s girls’ fencing and co-ed epee team were victorious against visiting Marmount. Both squads won 11-5.
