Morning Round-up: The Winter Season Begins

It has only been a few short weeks since the last of the autumn action, but it has felt like an eternity! Fortunately, the winter season kicked off last night with a couple of contests. Rye Neck’s bowling team opened the season with a 5-2 win over Harrison, and Nicole Grosser made 35 saves in goal, but the Rye Country Day girls’ hockey team fell to Portledge on the road 6-0.

We really get going tonight when Rye’s hockey team begins the season at home against Briarcliff in the Playland Ice Casino.
