The Garnets host Ossining tonight at Nugent Stadium in what some are touting as perhaps the Section 1 Class A game of the year.
Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. The contest is certain to be a doozy, as Rye looks to prove they can hang with the big boys after years of dominating their Class B opponents.

Post your predictions for the Ossining game in the comments. With wet conditions in mind, I’m calling a 20-16 Rye win.
UPDATE: Well, what do you know? In a soggy affair, the Garnets rebounded from an early Ossining touchdown to win 21-6. It was a wildly impressive performance for the home team on both sides of the ball. The offense was explosive and efficient, and the defense was stout.
